The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged a formal complaint with the ICC against the Ahmedabad visitors. The PCB complained about the behavior of the spectators towards the Pakistani players.

According to Cricinfo, they complained about chanting 'Jai Sriram' at Mohammad Rizwan on his way back to the dressing room and at Hasan Ali while fielding. Apart from this, the PCB complained of not getting visas for Pakistani journalists and supporters and not having a specific visa policy for them. In a statement on social media last night, PCB Media said, "The delay in issuing visas to Pakistani journalists and the lack of a specific visa policy for Pakistan fans for the 2023 World Cup has been formally complained to the ICC."

The statement also said, "PCB has filed a complaint against the ill-behavior of the fans towards the Pakistan team during the India vs Pakistan match on October 14, 2023."

About 130,000 spectators attended the India-Pakistan match in Ahmedabad last Saturday, with full support for India. The number of Pakistanis who got a chance to go to the ground to watch the game was negligible. Pakistan captain Babar Azam even had to listen to the duo during the toss. All in all, the atmosphere of the field was naturally not in Pakistan's favor at all. Pakistan also could not give the answer on the field.

Pakistan lost by a huge margin of 7 wickets. Earlier, Pakistan scored only 191 runs with the bat. India reached this target with 7 wickets and 117 balls in hand. After the big defeat against Rohit Sharma's side, Pakistan's team director Mickey Arthur said that he felt it was a BCCI event, not an ICC event. It felt like a bilateral series, it felt like a BCCI event. Didn't hear much of "Dil Dil Pakistan" on the loud speakers tonight.'

The PCB made a formal complaint before the discussion on Mickey Arthur's comment was over. According to Cricinfo, the PCB has filed a complaint with the ICC under Section 11 of the International Cricket Discrimination Policy. This section is related to audience behavior. According to the rules, the anti-discrimination administrator appointed by the host country shall document the entire incident and submit it to the ICC representative within two weeks.
