When you hear the name of Gibraltar, you may think of the 'Strait of Gibraltar' book in the general knowledge book. It is the strait that connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean.

In the south of Spain there is a territory called Gibraltar, which is under British rule. They also have a national football team. That team had an embarrassing record against France last night. Not 5-10, Gibraltar scored 14 goals against France! This is the record for most goals scored by a European team in a competitive match. Germany previously won 13–0 against San Marino in 2006. And France's biggest win was 10-0, against Azerbaijan in 1995.

It is understood that the French footballers were playing with the wee Gibraltar in this match of the UEFA Euro Championship qualifiers. Captain Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the match against the 198th ranked team in FIFA. Mbappe also touched the milestone of 300 goals in his career on the way to a hat-trick. And with 46 goals, he is now the third highest scorer in France. Only Thierry Henry (51) and teammate Olivier Giroud (56) are above him.
