Spain's Marca, Argentina's TYC Sports and other media have given the same news about the media.

The 35-year-old winger known as Papu Gomez currently plays for Italian club Monza. He was in Sevilla during the World Cup last November. According to Relevo, Gomez claimed to have taken his son's syrup because he felt sick a few days before the start of the World Cup. But he did not take the doctor's advice about consuming it. The syrup is included in the list of prohibited drugs for athletes.
Although it is not allowed to take drugs without the approval of the club doctor, Sevilla did not take any action on this. Papu Gomez is ruled out for the World Cup. According to Marka, the European football authorities have contacted Gomez and Sevilla on behalf of UEFA a few months ago. But the news of the punishment came this week.
In this regard, Argentine media TYC Sports said that Sevilla does not know about the punishment. However, Gomez was informed of the decision beforehand. There is no opportunity to appeal against this verdict.
According to Relevo, none of the clubs wanted to take Gomez in this summer transfer, thinking that he might be banned. Gomez himself considered waiting until next winter's transfer window. However, on the last day of the transfer, he signed up for the Italian club Monza. He has played only two matches for the club so far. Probably the last match too.
