Mahmudullah has four hundreds in ODI career, all in ICC tournaments. One in the 2017 Champions Trophy. In the remaining three World Cups including today's century. But this Mahmudullah was uncertain about the World Cup game this time. He was dropped from the team in the middle. After many dramas, he returned to the national team with the World Cup team.

Mahmudullah was suddenly dropped from the Bangladesh team last March, after the England series. How has he moved on from that time—that was the question Mahmudullah was asked at the press conference after scoring a century in the loss to South Africa today.

Mahmudullah said in response, "I don't know exactly how I got ahead." Then he was asked - did he expect to be able to play in the World Cup? Mahmudullah's reply, 'Perhaps Allah has helped me to move forward. I tried to maintain my fitness, to suffer, but I had nothing else to do.

Wasn't in the team in the mean time. But after his return, did he think that he had to bat so low or did he think it was right - Mahmudullah seemed to want to express the pain in his heart, 'I don't want to say anything about this now. I have a lot to say though. But this may not be the right time to say those things.

Mahmudullah wants to think about the country and the team for now, 'All I can say at the moment is that I want to play for the country, I want to contribute to the team. If I can do something for the team to win, then it will be better.

Mahmudullah was left out of the team at that time and the selectors said that he has been rested. Although he did not want to say anything, Mahmudullah expressed his pain in this regard, saying, "It seems that the rest was a little too much." I don't have it. It is their (selectors) decision. If I can do my job honestly, that's my job. That's what I want to do.'

Mahmudullah said, "Thank you to those of you who supported me during that time." And thanks to those who didn't.
